Bards or Paragons?
Only reason I posted here is because I was told not to post GW2 topics in the other places since this is a GW site not a GW2 site and almost got banned but...this is off-topic so I should be safe here...
So we have a Bard class already, the paragon of course. If we get a class like this in GW2 would you like it to be in the same style as it is now? OR would you like it to be more of a bard with cloth armor, Musical weapons and such, kind of like in FF games?
I like the spear chucking shouters but I am more accustomed to Bards, and also, I just think they look cooler. Maybe they could use harps and throwing knives or guitar banjo looking things.
So basically. Old school bards or keep with the paragon style in GW2 If they have that sort of class?
Oh one last thing...IF they model paragons almost exactly like they are now, just one request. Give the males more pants and less midrift please ^_^;;

I say keep Paragons, they're unique to Guild Wars and even though I don't like playing them, I'd hate to lose 'em! Just like the Dervish!

I was kind of hoping the warrior like class would take over the scythe and/or the spear/polearm. But too many people love the dervish lol
Ello? Anyone there?

i like the idea of the paragon and i think that it helps make guild wars unique. i wish that they did a little less damage to emphisize the support role though.

I will keep it serious....we have no information other than speculation at this time....what we think is irrelevant to the powers that be.....

Paragons as an offensive support class are way more interesting than yet another full party support class. There's already the ritualist for that.
Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing the ritualist removed entirely, so perhaps.

No one is safe in offtopic,
Plus don't bards sing tales of old inspiring heroes, while paragons just scream orders?(but wait, don't paragons have "song" skills as well?)
Although...paragons do have motivation, but I'd be pretty motivated too, if a big muscular man in a skirt holding a spear yelled at me.
After looking at some skills, I deem this case unsolvable. And my spaghetti has arrived, so I deem you all goodnight.

I wouldn't like a bard in GW2 at all. It would completely spoil the image of the GW. Can you imagine someone running around battering someone to death with a bloody banjo and singing songs and haikus? Meanwhile there's necromancer's undead minions everywhere, warrior's hacking and slashing, spears and magic flying all over the place.... What a sight that'd be for a next gen game.

Thats jsut a concept of what they would look like. Of course they wouldnt actually look like that in GW2, you have no imagination >_>

While that is very true the way you say it, but I'm sure they could be reworked. Like a mini harp could be a focus icon of sorts, while they use throwing knives/daggers from afar. Give em some spells and what not.

While thats also true, honestly to me, I don't care about being Unique as much. I mean we already have Charr, Norn, Sylvarie, Asurans. And the biggest thing that is Unigue that I care about. No monthly fee ^_^.

Not really. The 6 Core classes are. Everything else jsut unbalanced the game. Unless you mean style gameplay wise though.
